Membership Information

As a member at A Space Gallery your support of the gallery provides you with the opportunity to become involved in the structure of an artist-run center.

Advantages of Membership

  • an opportunity to play an important role in the gallery through committee involvement.
  • a vote at members' meetings including the Annual General Meeting and eligibility to run for a position in the Board of Directors.
  • an opportunity to generate, coordinate or curate projects through the Programming Committee.
  • discounts on admission to A Space sponsored events and gallery publications.
  • regular mailings of the newsletter, invitations to exhibitions, special project and community updates.
  • an opportunity to participate in member exhibitions and events and regular Artist Talks

    News from the Membership Initiative Committee

    Considering the high profile of the A Space Windows, the BOD and committees have designated this area as a juried exhibition space to be shared by members and gallery artists. Artist fees will be paid for accepted proposals.

    Artist Talks

    A Space Members present your work (slides, video, spoken work, curatorial work, work in progress, etc.) in a supportive and informal setting. This is a good opportunity to receive constructive feedback from your peers and hone your presentation skills. It's a great way to get to know other members.

    Initiative Committee

    The Initiative Committee develops programs and events designed to encourage member participation in the life of the gallery.

    At present the committee coordinates:

  • members' show and sale in December
  • monthly artist talks
  • A Space Windows member shows
  • various other events

    The committee is looking for new volunteers, so if you are interested in getting involved, please join us on the last Wednesday of every month @ 7:00, before the Artist Talk.
