Simcoe’s unique Community Arts Day will be held on May 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Over seventy local artists have painted and donated original banners, to be unveiled on the day, and then hung on downtown lamp posts for the summer months. Other activities include a day long graffiti art contest, on specially set up boards- entries include six area high schools, crews from OCAD, the local tattoo parlour, a skateboard group, and a couple of Toronto street artists. Four local bands and several busker acts will entertain, and refreshments will be available. It’s all on the grounds of Lynnwood Arts Centre, in downtown Simcoe, approximately 50 kms southwest of Hamilton.

Artists: Over 70 professional artists, high school art teachers, art students, and school kids.
