Merging

The inability to speak and write has made many disabled artists feel like permanent outsiders. Merging is an exhibition of art and letters that expose the language and literacy barriers of the art world. When it comes to getting grants and shows, "a picture is not worth a thousand words".

The work is presented by a number of artists who are disabled and not necessarily gay lesbian as the event guide may suggest.
