EMW (East Meets West)

Using steel scaffolds (a Western construction material) and bamboo scaffolds (an Eastern construction material), this sculptural installation expresses the ethnic diversity of our community. Viewers are invited to interact with the art piece by writing, drawing, scribbling or doodling about the topic East Meets West. Submitted written texts and drawings by viewers will be hung on the scaffolds as part of an ongoing process in evolving/transforming the installation. Images of the ongoing transformation of the project will be shown on a web site in China.
