Can Racism Can Racism brings together high school students at Peterborough Collegiate Vocational School, educators, media and visual artists and community organizations to discuss and make links between issues pertaining to environmentalism, cultural diversity and anti-racism. The project is process orientated and will culminate in the production of 25 painted garbage cans and a videotape, addressing issues of environmental protection in light of anti-racism and cross-cultural acceptance. In September 2000, the students involved in Can Racism will give a gift of a painted can to every high school in the Peterborough school district and discuss the project with their peers.
